Teen Patti is an Indian card game inspired by the British card or tash game 3 Card Blag. It also has some similarities with poker. For this reason, some refer to Teen Patti as Indian poker. How to play Teen Patti
Teen Patti card game is played with 3 to 6 players and a 52-card pack without a joker. The dealer of the game deals the cards one by one until everyone has three cards. No cards are dealt, lost, or selected during the game. Before starting the game, it is essential to determine the minimum bet. All players place their minimum bet on a pot placed in the center of the table.
The premise of this game is to bet on who has the best card. This allows players to decide how they want the card game online to play out. They can be blind players or sighted players.
Blind player – the cards are placed face down on the table, and they do not know their cards. They can bet an amount equal to their current bet but no more than twice their current bet.
Sighted player – The player has seen his cards before he bets. His bet is no more than twice and no less than four times his current bet.
Bets are placed clockwise, starting with the dealer. Each player places an additional bet on the pot. Two factors determine chances.

Simply put, the amount of the seated player’s bet is twice the amount of the blind player’s bet.
Also, the blind player can look at his cards. If so, you are the player who will see after this turn, so your current bet will be doubled. Alternatively, you can choose to fold.
If you choose not to pay, you fold, and the game ends. You lose whatever you have put into the pot.
The round continues until 1 of 2 things happens:
- One player survives, and all other players have folded. He or she wins the pot, regardless of the cards in hand.
- If two players are left, one of them may show (reveal). In this case, both players reveal their cards and compare them.
What are the rules ?
- For the blind player, the current bet is the price you pay for the Showcase in the pot. It doesn’t matter if your opponent is blind or not. After you have paid your bet, you can see your cards.
- If you are the seeing player and your opponent is a blind player, you cannot look at your cards. The options for the seeing player are to continue playing or fold.
- When the last two players show up, any player can play twice the current bet to have them show up.
- When the cards are revealed by anyone, the player with the highest card wins the pot. If the ranking is the same, the player who did not pay to show wins the pot.
Then there’s the compromise to show the players.
If the player remaining at the table is a spectator, he or she can make a bet (double the current bet) and then ask the player who bets first to compromise. This player may accept or refuse.
If the player refuses to compromise, the betting continues.
If the player accepts, the two players compare their cards privately. The player with the low card must fold. If the cards are the same, the player with the compromise must fold.
Tips for winning
- Play the blinds as long as possible. Most players have been blinded in the previous round. Anxious players want to see their cards right away. This confuses them, makes them suspicious, and makes them lose confidence.
- If you have a good hand, avoid betting big. Other players with weaker cards will fold, and you will win a smaller pot. Therefore, take your time when placing your bets.
- Keep your emotions, body language, and facial expressions in check. The player with the slightest change in behavior is the one who is the hardest to read.
